Chinanews, Chongqing, June 22 C Feeling sore all over, having a stiff
neck and feeling dizzy from time to time. A survey shows that about 80%
of the white collars in Chongqing have such symptoms, the Chongqing
Morning Post reported.
On Tuesday, the China Association of Chinese Medicines Subhealth
Research Department and the Kunda Heath Management Center jointly carried
out a survey among white collars in Chongqing. The survey shows that 80%
of the white collars who do much brain work are in a subhealthy
condition. However, less than 30% of them take regular medical checks.
The survey investigated white collars working in the fields of banking,
IT, teaching and media. From 2,146 returned questionnaire, it is found
that90% of the respondents work in offices aged 22-50.
The survey shows that less than 10% of the respondents think they have
some physical or mental problems. Over 80% of the white collars,
especially those who work in the IT and media fields, are in a subhealthy
condition. 84% of the respondents say they often feel sore all over;
their necks are stiff; and they feel dizzy and numb from time to time.
76% of the respondents feel their immune system is decreasing: they
easily catch cold and it is difficult for them to recover from the
illness. 74% of the respondents say they have a bad memory and find it
hard to concentrate. They have a hair loss.
The survey also shows that white collars in Chongqing like to go to bars
when they are off work. Half of the respondents go to bars at least three
times a week. 48% of the white collars often attend dinner parties and
eat irregularly. In addition, 60% of the respondents often smoke or drink.
